Inbound Pilot: Future Airline Pilot.
Congratulations to "Nic. B." a recent RA pilot certificate graduate of Inbound Aviation. He recently got accepted as a cadet pilot for a regional airline.
As a young high school student, Nic shared a dream with us that he wanted to fly for the airlines. With a GA GFPT already under his belt, and good school grades, we took up his vision and tailored his RA training to fit that lofty goal.
November 2010
The recent wet weather in Ballarat has been a blessing of sorts. All the drought parched landscape is green.
For the first time in nearly 10 years, all the surrounding lakes around the airport are full again, and can be used as check features for navigation using a WAC chart!
We have had a keen interest in learning to fly, and despite the weather I am happy to congratulate Frank, Paul and Neale who have just passed their pilot certificate flight test in the J-160 and J-230.
Congratulations and safe flying gentlemen.

Inbound is on facebook!
Come and join in with CFI Manny as he shares interesting stories and helpful information on learning to fly...
The fun of flying is often discovered after starting to learn how to fly. However, sometimes others who are still deciding if learning to fly is for them or not, need some friendly information on 'whats it like to fly' from someone who has already started to learn and those who have their licence.
What do you do if you don't know anyone who can tell you all about flying?
Why not join us on facebook (click on the image above for direct link) and join CFI Manny as he shares information & short stories about the experiences of others, from all walks of life, who are learning to fly.
Come check us out on facebook - send Manny a message or give him a 'Poke'...he loves it! Banjo Paterson he ain't, Pulitzer Prize epics it's not, just some fun stuff about flying! Manny looks forward to accepting you as 'friends' of Inbound Aviation on facebook
March 2010Great Weather, Great Trips, Fly our J-230!
Our J-230 is starting to see a growing number of new and regular local and Melbourne-based pilots getting checked out and hiring 5142 for those longer trips around Victoria. There's also a slowly growing number of PPL and even CPL multi-engine/NVFR qualified pilots, taking the opportunity to do a GA to RAA conversion in the J-230. One smart GA/RA pilot is even planning to use the J-230 to build flying hours in a higer performance aircraft, in preparation for future commercial pilot training.
Speak to CFI Manny Peralta if you are interested in getting checked out in the J-230 (M| 0447747138)
February 2010
Congratulations to the 4 people from Melbourne and Ballarat who just started their RAA pilot certificate training at Inbound Aviation in February. Some are existing GA pilots; one has a commercial pilot's license doing a GA-RA conversion in our new "glass-cockpit" J-230
Now is a great time to learn to fly!
The weather is perfect - with plenty of available sunlight thanks to daylight savings.

Congratulations to Dwayne Arthur who achieved his FIRST SOLO this month!
A really great effort since Dwayne work for the RAAF and drives all the way from Williamtowm, and hopes to further his career prospects with his flying. Graeme Wishart from the Geelong also achieved his GA to RA conversion in our new J-230. As an experienced GA pilot/aircraft owner, he's interested on one day owning a J-230, and what a great way to progress that dream: do an RA conversion in our J-230!
One of our pilots recently flew the J-230 to Sydney and came back - the scenic route via "VICTOR 1"
News about our J-230 is growing with a small number of pilots from all over Melbourne, driving to Ballarat to fly this great machine. January 2010 could be a busy month for our J-230.
---***MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL***---
The recent launch of our Aviation Theory Courses was marked by three groups of recreational aviation (RA)pilots who have completed our general aviation Private Pilot Theory Course (PPL). Lectured by former airline academy senior ground instructors, the overall feedback has been positive. Attendees did the course specifically to gain greater knowledge of navigation, meteorology and air law topics.
Our RA theory courses also got a boost with our first group of RA pilots completing the 1-day Human Factors course. Cost of this course includes theory lectures and the exam, with the logbook being endorsed as appropriate.
Courses can be delivered to individuals or small groups, with the potential for after hours lectures for working people. Contact CFI Manny for details.

Our CASA PPL Theory Courses Take-OFF!
Several experienced RA-Aus pilots have recently taken up the challenge of attending Inbound Aviations GA PPL Theory course. Some of these pilots plan to convert their RA-Aus Certificate to a GA PPL at the completion of the course. Others are attending the training course to update their current level of knowledge with an in depth study of Air Law, Meteorology, Navigation, Performance and Loading, and Aerodynamics required by CASA's Day VFR Syllabus for the PPL Cyber-exam.
Our courses are conducted after hours, are in small groups and are designed to suit the busy professional.
